What is my IQ?

It has been long time since I last took an IQ test. Today I took this IQ test and scored 130, which I think is not bad. It is not good either.

This is what the result had to say about me. I am happy that I still retain a bit of mathematical mind.

You’ve got a very experiential way of learning and a strong mathematical mind. You’re able to whittle even the most complex situation down to comprehensible component parts. In short, you have mastered the art and science of precision. That’s what makes you a Precision Processor.

For you, life is a series of equations. Your brain is naturally predisposed to intense mathematical acuity, and your understanding of numerical problems is unparalleled. It’s second nature for you to cut to the heart of an issue, so that you can discover quick solutions to problems while others get bogged down in unnecessary details. One precision processor that comes to mind is the Greek philosopher-mathematician, Pythagoras. Pythagoras had a mind for numbers and, as such, could come up with previously unknown theories like his method for calculating the sides of a right triangle (a2+b2=c2). You too, can use numbers to translate aspects of the world around you — something that doesn’t come easily to everyone. Your quick mathematical mind will allow you to communicate a variety of ideas to other people, so don’t keep it to yourself.

You’ll do anything for love, but you won’t fall for it easily.

Blogthings have turned boring off late. But this I really enjoyed this one. However, there is atleast one point that I think contradicts with my personality.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality – cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.
You’d like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.
Your ideal relationship is traditional. Without saying anything, both of you communicate with your hearts.
Your risk of cheating is 100%. You are not suited for a monogamous relationship.
You think of marriage pessimistically. You don’t think happy marriages exist anymore.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You’ll do anything for love, but you won’t fall for it easily.

Labours on victory path

The counting has started and Labour party has won 17 seats and the Conservatives 1 of the 18 seats declared so far. Just like the rundown to the election, the election coverage by the television networks are also boring.

Another milestone in India’s space technology

India today used PSLV-C6 to place two more satellites – CARTOSAT-1 and HAMSAT in orbit.

CARTOSAT-1: CARTOSAT-1 is the eleventh satellite in the Indian remote sensing satellite series. It is intended for cartographic applications. It carries two panchromatic cameras that take black-and-white stereoscopic pictures in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The imageries will have a spatial resolution of 2.5 metre and cover a swath of 30 km. The imageries will be useful for generating digital elevation maps for urban and rural development, land and water resources management, disaster assessment, relief planning and management and environmental impact assessment. CARTOSAT-1 also carries a Solid State Recorder with a capacity of 120 Giga Bits to store the images taken by its cameras. (http://www.isro.org/pressrelease/May05_2005.htm)

/. on India’s progress

News of India launching a stereo imaging satellite is beeing slashdotted today with the usual dose of “India is a poor country – They should be spending this money on education and healthcare instead – Waste of tax payer’s money” advices from some. All I can say to those responses is “Come on guys… get a life”. I wish tomorrows event a success.
