Happy news at last 🙂
Rajyavardhan S. Rathore has won the silver medal in Men’s double trap shooting at the athens. Rajyavardhan is currently ranked number 3 in the world and I am very delighted to see him winning a medal at the Olympics. He is only the fourth Indian to win any medal at the Olympics (not counting the Hockey medals India won in team events).
Now what are the other medal prospects of India? In Hockey, India has had a bad opening game.
But India’s tennis stalwarts, Paes and Bhupathi, have had a promising start and they will be India’s main bet for a gold at the Athens. In the first round they beat Andy Roddick/ Mardy Fish of USA. And in round two they have defeated Yves Allegro/ Roger Federer of SUI and have entered into the quarter final where they will face W.Black/ K.Ullyett of Zimbabwe.
Come on Paes/Bhupathi. Make India happy by winning a gold. Let us hear the Indian National Anthem a few more times at the Athens.
